In this episode Tony is in conversation with Professor Tim Connell, Chairman of the Gresham Society. Tim tells us about the life and times of Sir Thomas Gresham and his contribution to the commercial success of the City of London. The discussion takes a look at the establishment of the Gresham College the third university of England dating back to 1597. Tim describes the relationship of the College with the City and the current promotion “Connect to prosper – the knowledge miles in the world’s coffee house” which forms part of the Lord Mayor’s lectures for 2024.
